VGT position learning deviation is high when compared to 1st learnt value. 2. Excessive wear in VGT hard stops 3. VGT position Sensor has intermittent open or short internally 4. VGT connector electrical loose connection/Pin backout in connector 5. Water or Corrosion in connector or sensor 6. ECU connector pin backout 7. ECU terminal pin damage or bend 1. CE Lamp ON 2. Reduced vehicle performance 3. Abnormal engine behavior 4. White smoke in tail pipe possible. 5. Disabled drive mode option Lamp status: Check Engine Lamp on Malfunction Indicator Lamp off Checkpoints: Check for any other faults like AMF faults, ECU faults, electrical faults related to VGT etc are present. If present, address it first. Trouble Shooting Steps: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check whether the VGT connector is connected properly. Disconnect and reconnect properly - Step 2 Check the continuity between VGT connector pins 3, 5, 4, 2, 1 ECU pins – A4, A5, A8, A92, A71 respectively - Step 3 Check wiring harness for any damage (Burnt/cut wire or connector) -
