Engine shut down Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Fuel cut off. Engine shut down Lamp Status (If Any) NA Fault Detection Condition This fault takes place if the vehicle crashed detected by the ECU due to any of the following reasons 1: Front deploy crash 2: Rear crash 3: Crash impact due to non-fire event 4: LHS crash 5: RHS crash Normal Operating Condition No vehicle crash event detected by Airbag ECU Probable Trouble Area SRS module( Airbag ) Healing Condition Immediate after replacing airbag. Component Details: SRS / Air bag ECU detects various types of crash events using sensors like Front deploy crash, rear crash, crash impact due to non-fire event, LHS crash and RHS crash. Once the SRS / Airbag ECU detects crash, it sends a CAN signal to EMS indicating Crash. Then EMS ECU will perform the safety fuel cut off function. Preliminary Checks: Check whether the customer voice / view about the issue is matching with the fault effects mentioned above. If yes, go ahead with next steps. If not, check for other DTC’s presence. Check whether similar complaints are earlier reported. If yes, perform the preliminary checks with respect to earlier issue closure.
