This document must not be used in any w ay, such as copying and redistributing to third parties, w ithout our consent Check whether the brake pedal is moving freely. Loose/ Damaged Connections between APM sensor and EMS ECU. Loose/ Damaged Connections between Brake switch connector and EMS ECU. Check for back out of pins at both APM sensor connector, Brake switch connector and ECU connector. Check for damage of pins at both APM sensor connector, Brake switch connector and ECU connector. Trouble Shooting: Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Is there any rust/oxidization observed on Sensor Terminals Clean the Rust or repair or replace Go to Step 2 2. Is there wiring harness electrical continuity between ECU pins B59,B32,B15&Accelerator pedal Sensor connector pins 4,2,3. Go to Step 3 Establish continuity by rectifying harness connections as per the circuit schematic 3 Is there wiring harness electrical continuity between ECU pins B60, B36, B19&Accelerator pedal Sensor connector pins 6,1,5. Go to Step 4 Establish continuity by rectifying harness connections as per the circuit schematic 4 Is there continuity exists between Main Brake switch pin 1 and EMS ECU pin B46&& Main brake switch pin 1 and battery supply. Go to Step 5 Establish continuity by rectifying harness connections as per the circuit schematic 5 Is there continuity exists between Brake redundant switch pin 3 and EMS ECU pin B48&& redundant brake switch pin 3 and ground Go to Step 6 Establish continuity by rectifying harness connections as per the circuit schematic 6 Whether EMS ECU pins B46 /B48 shorted to battery supply / Ground? Repair the harness as per the schematic Go to Step 7 7. Are there any pins damaged at Sensor/EMS ECU Connector Replace the connector or wiring harness Go to step 8 8 Are there any pins backed out from the Sensor/EMS ECU Connector Rectify/Replace Connectors Go to Step 9 9 Is APM Sensor Supply Pin B46/B48 Short circuited to Battery/GND or open? Repair the harness as per the schematic Go to step 10 10 Is APM Sensor Signal Pin 59/60 Short circuited to battery/GND or open circuited? Repair the harness as per the schematic Go to Step 11 11 Is sensor physically Damaged Replace Sensor Go to Step 12 12 Fault Still Persists? Replace Sensor and then Fault still persists then call hot line Follow the steps again for reconfirmation DTC’s confirmation (checks before handing over vehicle to customer):
