EGR drive wiring short circuit to supply – Negative Terminal 2. EGR HB connector loose connection 3. Electrical wiring damage 4. ECU connector loose connection 5. EGR malfunctioning 6. ECU terminal pin bend or damage 1.MIL Lamp On 2.Reduced vehicle performance 3. Engine misfiring Lamp status: Check Engine Lamp off Malfunction Indicator Lamp on Checkpoints: 1. Check Electrical connections for each pin of EGR assembly. Trouble Shooting Steps: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check whether the EGR connector is connected properly. Remove and connect again properly - Step 2 Check whether the ECU connector is connected properly - Step 3 Check for any pin backout or damage in the ECU & EGR EVRV connector - Step 4 Check for continuity between sensor negative connector pin 5 and ECU pin A89. - Step 5 Check the ECU terminal pin for any damage or bend - Step 6 Check the EGR module physically for any damage - Step 7 If the problem persists, replace the EGR module - Verification condition: Drive the vehicle in city and highway condition
