P0657-11 High side output: short-circuit to ground Overview: ISO Code • P0657-11 Customer Symptom • Critical malfunction. Powertrain is opened. Power loss immediately triggered Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • Transmission lamp ON • TranMilReq = 0x00 • All gear disable • Creep disable • R, M Mode disable, • Clutch state = OPEN • Vehicle Not able to move. Lamp Status (If Any) • Transmission fault ON Service indication 0x1 Fault Detection Condition Internal TCU error; High side valve supply (pins 1, 24, 26) connected to ground (FFT= 0ms) Normal Operating Condition TCU does not detect short circuit to ground error. High side output at pin 1,24 & 26 regulated at normal current Probable Trouble Area 1. External wiring loom of the transmission for any damage. 2. Damage TCU. 3. Internal wiring loom & hydraulic block of the transmission. 4. Hydraulic block & transmission oil. Healing Condition The reaction is cleared at SW restart if the detection is FALSE for more than 0 ms Component Details: Clutch actuator 1 & 2 mounted in hydraulic control unit and makes internal electrical contact with the TCU. Preliminary Checks: 4) Battery voltage 5) Check for damage or back out of pins at TCU connectors. 6) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis (tightness, corrosion of mounting bolts etc.) Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. 1. Check the external wiring loom of the transmission for any damage. If wiring loom is damaged, replace the wiring loom. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back Go to step 2 2. If problem persists, test with replacement TCU & flash the adaption data from the previous TCU. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back Go to step 3 3 If the fault is not reported in the replacement TCU, replace the original TCU on the transmission & flash the adaption data from the previous TCU. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back Go to step 4 4 If the fault is also reported in the replacement TCU then check internal wiring loom & hydraulic block of the transmission. If damage is visible, replace the hydraulic block & transmission oil. Go to step 5 5 After replacing the hydraulic block &transmission oil, perform the necessary adaptions. Clear the DTC.
