P0666-11 Board temperature sensor: short-circuit to ground Overview: ISO Code P0666-11 Customer Symptom none Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Transmission Fault Lamp OFF Lamp Status (If Any) Service indication 0x0 Fault Detection Condition internal TCU error, temperature sensor SCG (FFT=1000ms) Normal Operating Condition Board temperature sensor temperature range in valid range Probable Trouble Area TCU Damaged. Healing Condition The reaction is cleared at SW restart and driving if the detection is FALSE for more than 1000 ms Component Details: Board temperature Sensor is used to measure temperature, it is connected to TCU and temperature value is transmitted via CAN bus. Preliminary Checks: 1) Battery voltage 2) Check for damage or back out of pins at TCU connectors. 3) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis (tightness, corrosion of mounting bolts etc.) Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Check the DTC. Clear the DTC Go to step 2 2. If DTC persists, Replace the TCU if the problem persists & flash the adaption data from the previous TCU. Clear the DTC DTC’s confirmation:- After rectification, clear all DTC’s and ensure the following points by referring TCU parameters using TML diagnostic tool before handing over to customer. • Drive the vehicle through all gears in both Automatic and Manual modes. • Ensure no DTC is active and Transmission Fault Lamp is OFF.
