P0701-00 Multiple fault to open powertrain Overview: ISO Code P0701-00 Customer Symptom Critical malfunction. Powertrain is opened. Power loss immediately triggered Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • Transmission fault lamp is ON • Clutch open • No gear change • Vehicle unable to crank Lamp Status (If Any) • Transmission fault lamp ON Service indication 0x1 Fault Detection Condition combined error * Clutches speed undetermined : Clu1, Clu2 AND wheel speeds don’t match * Clutch speed fault + front wheel speed fault + rear wheel speed fault : all signals have Quality flag NOK * Engine speed undefined: No speed signal from vehicle CAN + no internal input speed signal. * undetermined driver request : no GSL position info + no virtual vehicle speed info * oil sump temperature undefined : no oil sump temperature signal + no engine coolant temperature CAN signal Normal Operating Condition Inputs to TCU to engaged gear in valid range Probable Trouble Area 1. All internal speed sensors. 2. Connection to gear shift lever module. 3. Oil sump temperature sensor. 4. Clutch speed sensor Healing Condition The reaction is cleared at SW restart Component Details: The Problem may occur due to an inputs is not in valid range to TCU. Preliminary Checks: 1) Loose/ Damaged Connections between all sensor, actuator, elcetrovolve, solenoid and TCU. 2) Loose/ Damaged mechanical fitments of TCU (TCU to valve body mounting). 3) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. check all internal speed sensors, replace if necessary. Check if the ,Speed sensor - pump shaft, Speed sensor - inner shaft, Speed sensor - outer shaft connectors are properly connected and free from damage. Clear DTC and check if it doesn’t come back, Go to step 2 2 If fault persists, check functionality an connection to gear shift lever module, replace if necessary Clear DTC and check if it doesn’t come back, Go to step 3 3 Check oil sump temperature sensor, replace if necessary Clear DTC and check if it doesn’t come back, DTC’s confirmation:-
