P3134-27 Oil Temperature sensor signal gradient is unplausible for at least 30s Overview: ISO Code P3134-27 Customer Symptom • Transmission fault lamp ON • AMT shift: Drivability degraded • creep deactivation, Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • Transmission Fault lamp ON • Creep deactivation Lamp Status (If Any) Transmission fault lamp ON Service indication 0x2 Fault Detection Condition sensor signal out of range for >30000ms Normal Operating Condition TCU detect proper temperature range value from oil temperature sensor Probable Trouble Area 1. transmission sump temperature sensor 2. transmission wiring 3. TCU Damaged Healing Condition The reaction is cleared at SW restart Component Details: Transmission oil temperature sensor is installed internally in DT1 DCT. This sensor is used thermistor which is changed by temperature variation. Preliminary Checks: 1) Loose/ Damaged oil sump temperature sensor Connections. 2) Check for damage or back out of pins at HCU/TCU sensor connector. 3) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Check the transmission sump temperature value measured within the TCU using a diagnostics tool. Is there any rust/oxidation/pin back out observed on TCU PIN 10 (Sump temperature ) in Transmission side 28 pole connector? If the signal value is feasible, Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 2 2. If the DTC persists, measure resistance between two pins on transmission connector to see if sensor is <NOK>. Refer below table. If it's defective, replace the transmission wiring loom, including the temperature sensor Go to step 3 3. If the DTC persists, replace the TCU if the problem persists and flash adaption values from the old TCU on the new TCU. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. • Resistance Check ➢ Disconnect connector (X-201) and check below resistance at (X-201) connector terminal on TCU PIN 10 (Sump temperature )
