P0795-98 Pressure control solenoid 3 (EDS 3 clutch 1 actuator): over temperature Overview: ISO Code P0795-98 Customer Symptom • Transmission fault lamp ON • Clutch 1 Deactivated, only limited gears available Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • Transmission fault lamp ON • Clutch 1 Deactivated, only limited gears available Lamp Status (If Any) Transmission fault lamp ON Service indication 0x2 Fault Detection Condition Internal TCU error (FFT = 100ms) Normal Operating Condition TCU does not detect any fault Probable Trouble Area 1. Transmission wiring loom for any damage. 2. Hydraulic unit clutch 1 actuator & transmission oil. 3. TCU damaged. Healing Condition The reaction is cleared at SW restart if the detection is FALSE for more than 0 ms Component Details: Clutch actuator 1 & 2 mounted in hydraulic control unit and makes internal electrical contact with the TCU. EDS 3 = Clutch 1 (“Brake”) actuation pressure solenoid Preliminary Checks: 1) Loose/ Damaged Connections between Electro valve and TCU. 2) Loose/ Damaged mechanical fitments of TCU (TCU to valve body mounting). 3) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Check the transmission-wiring loom for any damage. Is there any rust/oxidation/pin back out observed on TCU PIN 15 & 26 in Transmission side 28 pole connector and on pin 16 & 6 in Transmission circular connector? If damaged, replace the wiring loom. Go to step 2 2. If problem persists, replace the hydraulic unit(clutch 1 actuator) & transmission oil. Perform all necessary transmission adaptions. Go to step 3 3. Replace the TCU if the problem persists & flash the adaption data from the previous TCU. Clear the DTC • Resistance Check Solenoids , Pressure sensors mounted on HCU should be checked for resistance if there is DTC triggered. Below table reflects the signals for each solenoid and pressure sensor and range of acceptable resistance.
