P1715- 76 Speed Sensor 3 (input shaft):Wrong mounting position Overview: ISO Code P1715-76 Customer Symptom • Transmission fault lamp ON • Mileage based reaction after 100 km warning message Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • Transmission fault lamp ON • Mileage based reaction after 100 km warning message Lamp Status (If Any) Transmission fault lamp ON Service indication 0x2 Fault Detection Condition Input shaft speed differs from the engine speed of more than 1000rpm while pressure can be built up Normal Operating Condition TCU does not detect any fault Probable Trouble Area 4. Transmission wiring loom (input shaft sensor). 5. Input shaft sensor. 6. TCU. Healing Condition The reaction is cleared at SW restart and driving if the detection is FALSE for more than 2000 ms Component Details: The Speed sensor - pump shaft used in clutch actuation module in order to precisely control the torque transferred by both clutches. Preliminary Checks: 5) Loose/ Damaged Connections between Sensor and TCU. 6) Visually check sensor mounting& Air gap, proper tightening of mounting screws and any visible damage. 7) Check for damage or back out of pins at Clutch speed sensor connector and TCU connector. 8) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Check the transmission wiring loom (angle sensor). If damaged, replace the transmission wiring harness. Is there any rust/oxidation/pin back out observed on TCU PIN 18 (Input shaft speed (pump speed) output) in transmission side TCU 28 pole connector? Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 2 2. If the issue persists, replace the angle sensor. Perform all the necessary transmission adaptions. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 3 3. Replace the TCU if the problem persists & flash the adaption data from the previous TCU. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. • Resistance Check ➢ Disconnect Transmission side 28 pole connector (X-201) and check below resistance at (X-201) connector terminal
