Normal Operating Condition TCU does not detected any fault Probable Trouble Area 1. Transmission wiring loom (HCU). 2. HCU. 3. TCU. Healing Condition The reaction is cleared at SW restart Component Details: Clutch actuator 1 & 2 mounted in hydraulic control unit and makes internal electrical contact with the TCU. • EDS 3 = Clutch 1 (“Brake”) actuation pressure solenoid Preliminary Checks: 1) Loose/ Damaged Connections between clutch actuator and TCU. 2) Loose/ Damaged mechanical fitments of TCU (TCU to valve body mounting). 3) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1 Check the transmission wiring loom (HCU). If damaged, replace the transmission wiring harness. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 2 2 If the issue persists, replace the HCU. Perform all the necessary transmission adaptions. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 3 3 Replace the TCU if the problem persists & flash the adaption data from the previous TCU. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. • Resistance Check Solenoids , Pressure sensors mounted on HCU should be checked for resistance if there is DTC triggered. Below table reflects the signals for each solenoid and pressure sensor and range of acceptable resistance. ➢ Disconnect Transmission side 28 pole connector (X-201) and check below resistance at (X-201) connector terminal Measure Resistance (Ω) Component check Pin 15 (T_VALVE_3_HS) to Pin 26 (T_VALVE_3_LS) 3 to 8 ok Internal, External wiring harness and Solenoid Pin 15 (T_VALVE_3_HS) to transmission housing > 100k ok To check external and internal wiring harness
