P2669-16 BLDC controller supply voltage circuit defect Overview: ISO Code P2669-16 Customer Symptom • Transmission fault lamp ON • BLDC/Drum motor deactivated, ( Stuck in current gear) Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • Transmission fault lamp ON • BLDC/Drum motor deactivated, ( Stuck in current gear) Lamp Status (If Any) Transmission fault lamp ON Service indication 0x1 Fault Detection Condition internal TCU error: bldc circuit defect (FFT = 500ms) Normal Operating Condition TCU does not detect any fault Probable Trouble Area 1. Transmission wiring loom (TCU/BLDC). 2. TCU. Healing Condition The reaction is cleared at SW restart Component Details: The BLDC motor is driving the shift “Drum” through a set of gears. By rotating the drum, the shift forks are synchronizing and engaging specific gear sets. BLDC controller supply voltage is regulated at 12V TCU. Connections are internal to TCU. Preliminary Checks: 1) Check for any visible damage BLDC controller to TCU. 2) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1 Check the transmission wiring loom (TCU/BLDC). If damaged, replace the transmission wiring harness. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 2 2 If DTC persists, Check with different TCU if the problem persists (flash the adaption data from the original TCU). If NOK, replace TCU, Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. • Resistance Check ➢ Disconnect Transmission side 28 Pile connector (X-201) and check below resistance at (X-201) connector terminal Measure Resistance (Ω) Component check Pin 3 (T_BLDC_U) to Pin 4 (T_BLDC_V) < 1 ok Phase resistance Pin 3 (T_BLDC_U) to Pin 5 (T_BLDC_W) < 1 ok Phase resistance
