P2728-92 Line Pressure Control Solenoid Current below stable threshold Overview: ISO Code P2728-92 Customer Symptom • Critical malfunction. Powertrain is opened. Power loss immediately triggered. Gearshift is disabled. • Transmission fault lamp ON • Creep function is disabled Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • Critical malfunction. Powertrain is opened. Power loss immediately triggered. Gearshift is disabled. • Transmission fault lamp ON • Creep function is disabled Lamp Status (If Any) Transmission fault lamp ON Service indication 0x1 Fault Detection Condition Below 420 mA for > 100ms Normal Operating Condition TCU does not detect below threshold error Probable Trouble Area 1. TCU. Healing Condition The reaction is cleared at SW restart Component Details: The Clutch actuator 1 & 2 mounted in hydraulic control unit and makes internal electrical contact with the TCU. Preliminary Checks: 1) Loose/ Damaged Connections between Electro valve and TCU. 2) Loose/ Damaged mechanical fitments of TCU (TCU to valve body mounting). 3) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1 Replace TCU (flash the adaption data from the original TCU). Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. • Resistance Check Solenoids , Pressure sensors mounted on HCU should be checked for resistance if there is DTC triggered. Below table reflects the signals for each solenoid and pressure sensor and range of acceptable resistance. ➢ Disconnect transmission side 28 pole connector (X-201) and check below resistance at (X-201) connector terminal Measure Resistance (Ω) Component check
