P27F3-4B Clutch 02 temperature too high Overview: ISO Code P27F3-4B Customer Symptom • Transmission fault lamp ON • Warning message "Transmission overheated. Slowdown" Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • Transmission fault lamp ON • Warning message "Transmission overheated. Slowdown" Lamp Status (If Any) Transmission fault lamp ON Service indication 0x2 Fault Detection Condition estimated "clutch plate temperature" exceeds 260°C for 10000ms Normal Operating Condition TCU does not detect any fault Probable Trouble Area 1. Transmission sump temperature value. 2. Oil sump temperature sensor resistance over connector pins. 3. Coolant level in the vehicle. 4. Coolant is contaminated with external fluid. 5. Engine coolant pump for any damage. 6. Oil level & perform oil levelling procedure. 7. Transmission oil cooler connections are proper. 8. Transmission oil cooler is damaged or clogged by external substances. Healing Condition The reaction is cleared at SW restart or driving if the detection is FALSE for more than 10000 ms (>250°) Component Details: The Clutch actuator 1 & 2 mounted in hydraulic control unit and makes internal electrical contact with the TCU. Preliminary Checks: 1) Loose/ Damaged Connections between Electro valve and TCU. 2) Loose/ Damaged mechanical fitments of TCU (TCU to valve body mounting). 3) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1 Check the transmission sump temperature value measured within the TCU using a diagnostics tool. If the signal value is feasible, clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 2 2 If DTC persists, check oil sump temperature sensor resistance over connector pins, if <NOK> replace cable harness (including temperature sensor) clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 3 3 Check the coolant level in the vehicle. If low, refill the coolant to required level. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 4 4 If DTC persists, check if the coolant is contaminated with external fluid. Replace the coolant. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 5 5 If DTC persists, check engine coolant pump for any damage. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 6 6 If DTC persists, check oil level & perform oil levelling procedure. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 7
