P3115-13 BLDC actuation open phase, short to ground or short to battery detected Overview: ISO Code P3115-13 Customer Symptom • BLDC/Drum motor deactivated, limited gears available • Transmission fault lamp ON • Reverse and manual mode is disabled • Creep function is disabled Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • BLDC/Drum motor deactivated, limited gears available • Transmission fault lamp ON • Reverse and manual mode is disabled • Creep function is disabled Lamp Status (If Any) Transmission fault lamp ON (Service indication 0x1) Fault Detection Condition BLDC Phase open, short to ground or short to Battery (FFT=500ms) Normal Operating Condition TCU does not detect any fault Probable Trouble Area 1. Transmission wiring loom (TCU/BLDC). 2. TCU. 3. BLDC motor. Healing Condition The reaction is cleared at SW restart Component Details: The BLDC motor is driving the shift “Drum” through a set of gears. By rotating the drum, the shift forks are synchronizing and engaging specific gear sets. BLDC controller supply voltage is regulated at 12V TCU. Connections are internal to TCU. Preliminary Checks: 1) Check for any visible damage BLDC controller to TCU. 2) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Check the transmission wiring loom (TCU/BLDC). If damaged, replace the transmission wiring harness. check the motor phase resistance Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 2 2. If DTC persists, Check with different TCU (flash the adaption data from the original TCU) if the problem persists, if not, Replace TCU . Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 3 3. If DTC persists replace the BLDC motor. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. • Resistance Check ➢ Disconnect Transmission side 28 pole connector X-201 and check below resistance at (X-201) connector terminal
