P3119-FF Speeds mismatch between Clutch 2 and Front Wheels Overview: ISO Code P3119-FF Customer Symptom • Critical malfunction. Powertrain is opened. Power loss immediately triggered-Gearshift is disabled. • Transmission Fault Lamp ON • Creeping function is disabled Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • Critical malfunction. Powertrain is opened. Power loss immediately triggered-Gearshift is disabled. • Transmission Fault Lamp ON • Creeping function is disabled Lamp Status (If Any) • Transmission Fault Lamp ON (Service indication 0x1) Fault Detection Condition a calibrateable offset (65 RPM) between the clutch 2 speed and the wheelspeed is exceeded for >600ms In specific LDS' Normal Operating Condition Normal Operation Mode Probable Trouble Area 1. Physical failures on driveshafts/ ABS speed tooth ring. 2. ABS for fault codes on speed signals. 3. Transmission wiring loom (Speed sensor). 4. Speed sensor. 5. TCU. Healing Condition The reaction is cleared at SW restart Component Details: The Speed sensor - inner shaft(Clutch 2 speed) used in clutch actuation module in order to precisely control the torque transferred by both clutches. Preliminary Checks: 1) Loose/ Damaged Connections between inner shaft speed Sensor and TCU. 2) Visually check sensor mounting& Air gap, proper tightening of mounting screws and any visible damage. 3) Check for damage or back out of pins at Clutch speed sensor connector and TCU connector. 4) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. check physical failures on driveshafts/ ABS speed tooth ring/,,,, Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 2 2. check the ABS for fault codes on speed signals Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 3 3. Check the transmission wiring loom (Inner shaft Speed sensor). If damaged, replace the transmission wiring harness. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 4 4 If the issue persists, replace the speed sensor. Perform all the necessary transmission adaption. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 5 5 Replace the TCU if the problem persists & flash the adaption data from the previous TCU. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back.
