P3122-02 BLDC position/speed error: actual speed/position implausible (implausible range or speed) Overview: ISO Code P3122-02 Customer Symptom • BLDC/Drum motor deactivated, limited gears available • Transmission fault lamp ON • Gearshift , creeping function, Reverse and manual mode is disabled Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • BLDC/Drum motor deactivated, limited gears available • Transmission fault lamp ON • Gearshift , creeping function, Reverse and manual mode is disabled Lamp Status (If Any) Transmission fault lamp ON(Service indication 0x1) Fault Detection Condition Invalid rotor position signal from BLDC (FFT=500ms) Normal Operating Condition TCU does not detect any fault Probable Trouble Area 1. Transmission wiring loom (BLDC 5V supply). 2. TCU. 3. BLDC motor. Healing Condition The reaction is cleared at SW restart Component Details: The BLDC motor is driving the shift “Drum” through a set of gears. By rotating the drum, the shift forks are synchronizing and engaging specific gear sets. BLDC controller supply voltage is regulated at 12V TCU. Connections are internal to TCU. Preliminary Checks: 1) Check for any visible damage BLDC controller to TCU. 2) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Check the transmission wiring loom (BLDC 5V supply). If damaged, replace the transmission wiring harness. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 2 2. If DTC persists, Check with different TCU (flash the adaption data from the original TCU) if the problem persists, if NOK, Replace TCU. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 3 3. If DTC persists, replace BLDC motor. Perform all the necessary transmission adaptions. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. • Resistance Check ➢ Disconnect Transmission side 28 pole connector X-201 and check below resistance at (X-201) connector terminal
