P3125-00 Front wheel speeds and clutch speed comparison defect on Mechanical level Overview: ISO Code P3125-00 Customer Symptom • Warning message 'get vehicle checked' • Gear Actuation Limited Mode - discomfort / shift quality impacted • Transmission Fault Lamp ON Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • Warning message 'get vehicle checked' • Gear Actuation Limited Mode - discomfort / shift quality impacted • Transmission Fault Lamp ON Lamp Status (If Any) Transmission Fault Lamp ON (Service indication 0x2) Fault Detection Condition speed difference of >65 RPM between front wheels and clutch1 OR clutch2 (clutch 1 and clutch 2 are coherent) for > 1100ms Normal Operating Condition TCU does not detect any fault Probable Trouble Area 1. Transmission wiring loom (Speed sensor). 2. Wheel speed sensor. 3. clutch1 / clutch 2 speed sensor. 4. TCU. Healing Condition The reaction is cleared at SW restart if the detection is FALSE for more than 1100 ms Component Details: The Speed sensor - pump shaft, Speed sensor - inner shaft (Clutch 2 speed), Speed sensor - outer shaft(clutch speed 1) used in clutch actuation module in order to precisely control the torque transferred by both clutches. Preliminary Checks: 1) Loose/ Damaged Connections between Sensor and TCU. 2) Visually check sensor mounting& Air gap, proper tightening of mounting screws and any visible damage. 3) Check for damage or back out of pins at Clutch speed sensor connector and TCU connector. 4) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Check the transmission wiring loom (Speed sensor - Inner shaft and Speed sensor - Outer shaft). If damaged, replace the transmission wiring harness Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 2 2. If DTC persists, check and replace the wheel speed sensor. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 3 3. If DTC persists, check and replace the clutch1 / clutch 2 speed sensor, Perform all the necessary transmission adaptions. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 4 4 If DTC persists, Check with different TCU if the problem persists (flash the adaption data from the original TCU). If NOK, replace TCU, Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back.
