P3132-07 Unwanted vehicle movement: Mechanical failure of park lock Overview: ISO Code P3132-07 Customer Symptom • warning lamp + message(Auto park lock malfunction – ensure handbrake message displayed on cluster) Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • warning lamp + message(Auto park lock malfunction – ensure handbrake message displayed on cluster) Lamp Status (If Any) Transmission Fault Lamp OFF (Service indication 0x0) Fault Detection Condition Vehicle movement detected when transmission is in park lock. Mechanical failure of parcklock. Normal Operating Condition TCU does not detected any fault. Probable Trouble Area 1. park lock mechanism 2. Transmission 3. Speed sensor 4. TCU Healing Condition SW restart Component Details:- The park lock is integrated on the lay shaft. It is electrically activated via the shift drum system. Preliminary Checks:- 1) Battery voltage 2) Check for damage or back out of pins at DCT TCU connectors. 3) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis (tightness, corrosion of mounting bolts etc.) Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. put transmission in park position, and see if vehicle can be moved (by pushing the vehicle) if vehicle can be moved, park lock mechanism is broken. = replace transmission Go to step 2 2. if vehicle cant move, but DTC persists, check speed sensors, Replace if necessary. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 3 3. if speed sensors are ok, but fault persists, replace TCU. flash adaption from old TCU on new TCU Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. • Resistance Check ➢ Disconnect transmission side 28 pole connector (X-201) and check below resistance at (X-201) connector terminal Measure Resistance (Ω) Component check
