U2001-00 Accelerator pedal Defect Overview: ISO Code U2001-00 Customer Symptom • AMT shifting + Warning message "get vehicle checked" • Transmission Fault Lamp ON Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • AMT shifting + Warning message "get vehicle checked" • Transmission Fault Lamp ON Lamp Status (If Any) Transmission Fault Lamp ON (Service indication 0x2) Fault Detection Condition Set CAN accelerator pedal signal to error value (FFT=1100ms) Normal Operating Condition EMS signals to TCU that accelerator pedal information on CAN is valid. Probable Trouble Area 1. Engine controller. 2. Accelerator pedal sensor/accelerator pedal wiring harness. 3. Connector on TCU. 4. Wiring harness towards TCU. Healing Condition The reaction is cleared at SW restart and driving if the detection is FALSE for more than 1100 ms Component Details:- Accelerator pedal position signal is transmitted via CAN bus to the TCU. Preliminary Checks:- 1) Loose/ Damaged Accelerator pedal sensor Connections. 2) Check for damage or back out of pins at EMS connector and TCU connector. 3) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Check the engine controller, if this issue is reported. Fix the problem on engine controller or accelerator pedal sensor/accelerator pedal wiring harness. Go to step 2 2. If this issue is only reported in TCU, disconnect the vehicle side connector on TCU & connect it back again. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 3
