U2008-00 Both front wheel signals not reliable Overview: ISO Code U2008-00 Customer Symptom • Gear Actuation Limited Mode - discomfort / shift quality impacted • Transmission fault lamp ON Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • Gear Actuation Limited Mode - discomfort / shift quality impacted • Transmission fault lamp ON Lamp Status (If Any) Transmission fault lamp ON (Service indication 0x0) Fault Detection Condition Set the left right front wheel speed signal on CAN to error value (e.g. by disconnecting sensor on wheel). (FFT=1100ms) Wheel speed front right status = implausible Wheel speed front left status = implausible Normal Operating Condition ABS ECU communicated properly with DCT TCU Probable Trouble Area 1. ABS/ESP controller 2. ABS/ESP controller or wheel sensor mounting & connector. 3. Vehicle side connector on TCU. 4. Wiring harness towards TCU. Healing Condition The reaction is cleared during driving if the detection is FALSE for more than: 1100 ms Component Details:- Controller Area Network or CAN protocol is a method of communication between various electronic devices like engine management systems, ABS, gear control, lighting control, air conditioning, airbags, central locking etc. embedded in an automobile. Preliminary Checks:- 1. Check for short conditions between CAN_H-CAN_L, CAN_H-GND, CAN_L-GND, CAN_H-Vbatt and CAN_L-Vbatt at OBD connector. There should not be any short circuit conditions. 2. Check wiring harness with respect to CAN H and CAN L.
