Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • Manual mode shifting is inhibited Lamp Status (If Any) Transmission Fault Lamp OFF (Service indication 0x0) Fault Detection Condition Paddle Shifter status > incorrect for 1100 ms Normal Operating Condition Manual gear shift will be possible Probable Trouble Area 1.Paddle shifter switch mounted on steering wheel Healing Condition The reaction is cleared at SW restart or driving if the detection is FALSE for more than 1100 ms Preliminary checks: 1. Check for loose connection at Paddle shifter end Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Check the IPC (Paddle Shifter) controller and the CAN connection from the IPC controller Go to step 2 2 If this issue is only reported in TCU, disconnect the vehicle side connector on TCU & connect it back again Go to step3 3 If issue persists, check wiring harness towards TCU. If damaged, replace the vehicle side tranmission wiring harness. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back DTC’s confirmation:- After rectification, clear all DTC’s and ensure the following points by referring TCU parameters using TML diagnostic tool before handing over to customer. • Drive the vehicle through all gears in both Automatic and Manual modes. • Ensure no DTC is active and Transmission Fault Lamp is OFF. 187.
