This document must not be used in any way, such as copying and redistributing to third parties, without the consent of author. • Drive the vehicle through all gears in both Automatic and Manual modes. • Ensure no DTC is active and Transmission Fault Lamp is OFF. 191 U2115-00 Engine Loss torque defect Overview: ISO Code U2115-00 Customer Symptom • DCT shifting: drivability effect • Transmission Fault Lamp ON Fault Effects (On Vehicle) • DCT shifting: drivability effect • Transmission Fault Lamp ON Lamp Status (If Any) Transmission Fault Lamp ON (Service indication 0x2) Fault Detection Condition CAN Engine loss torque signal sends error value for > 1100ms Normal Operating Condition EMS signals to TCU that engine loss torque information on CAN is valid Probable Trouble Area 5. Engine controller. 6. Vehicle side connector on TCU. 7. Wiring harness towards TCU. 8. TCU. Healing Condition The reaction is cleared during driving if the detection is FALSE for more than 1100 ms Component Details:- Engine loss torque signal is transmitted via CAN bus to the TCU. In case of this particular DTC being set, it is expected that an EMS component is at fault. Preliminary Checks:- 1) Loose/ Damaged EMS sensor/actuator Connections. 2) Check for damage or back out of pins at EMS connector and TCU connector. 3) Check correct fitment of ground cable connections on vehicle chassis. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Check the engine controller, if the fault for any component affecting torque signal on CAN is reported. Check with the EMS diagnostic tool, are there EMS related DTC’s present? Fix the problem on engine controller or engine components. Go to step 2 2 If this issue is only reported in TCU, disconnect the vehicle side connector on TCU & connect it back again. Clear the DTC and check if the DTC does not come back. Go to step 3
