Vehicle Platform: F4 (Bolt) / F5 ( Zest) / TIAGO / TIGOR / EAGLE/OSPREY/Q5/X451 ECU Name: Hella Body Control Module (BCM) ECU Replacement Procedure Version: 3.9 Date: 09-June-2022 Author: BCM CoC Page: 8 of 39 2.2 Refer Figure-4 for location of the BCM in Tiago/Tigor. 2.3 Refer Figure 5-a and Figure 5-b for location of the BCM in Eagle. 2.4 Refer Figure 6-a and Figure 6-b for location of the BCM in Osprey. 2.5 Refer Figure 7-a and Figure 7-b for location of BCM in Q5. 2.6 Refer Figure 8-a and Figure 8-b for location of BCM in X451. 3. Remove all the BCM ECU connectors. (Refer Figure 1 in case Base BCM or Figure 2 in case of Mid BCM) 4. Remove the old BCM ECU from bracket. 5. Fix the new BCM ECU on bracket. 6. Connect all the BCM ECU connectors into their respective sockets. (Refer Figure 1 in case Base BCM or Figure 2 in case of Mid BCM) 7. Ensure that all connectors are fitted tightly and properly. 8. Connect the battery. 9. Connect the diagnostic tool to OBD connector. 10. Turn the IGN ON. 11. Read the DTCs and clear all the DTCs from BCM ECU with the help of diagnostic tool. 12. Unlock security to BCM ECU. Please follow the procedure available in service tool to unlock the security access. Caution – This is an essential step without unlocking the security access further steps will not be executed. 13. Perform the following CCID checking activities before re-flashing/replacement of BCM ECU. i Read parameter Part Number ID (DID 7244). 17 bytes of data available with new updated CCID (Car Configuration ID) logic.
