Perform the following diagnostics activities a. Read ECU Parameterization Software Number (DID 7244). Get the container linked to this part number and latest revision data against this part number. Note: If unable to read ECU Parameterization Software Number (DID 7244), then read VIN number and get the ‘as built data’ from UV server against the VIN. Note: If ECU Parameterization Software Number (DID 7244) read for Osprey vehicle, then follow the logic as mentioned in “Change of Container Part Number for Osprey vehicles are in Field” topic. b. Read HW, SW part numbers and it’s version numbers of BCM ECU and compare against server i. Vehicle Manufacturer Spare Part Number (F187) ii. ECU Application Software Number (7241) iii. Application Software Identification (F181) iv. ECU Calibration Software Number (7242) c. If upgrade required or mismatch with part numbers, then flash the BCM ECU with latest software. Afterwards follow the above step again. 15. BCM ECU Reprogramming Tool flashing procedure a. Give hard reset (11 01) to BCM and wait for 1 sec. b. BCM flashing shall be start after user request c. Tool shall read the VIN and VC and compare against server. d. Read the DID 7215, if the response is 0x01(Application) skip next step, else if the response is 0x02(PBL) or 0x03(SBL) go to next step. e. Request for Programming session and unlock programming security to BCM ECU.
