U1309-08:- Lost communication with Anti-Lock Braking System- ASBS/ESP Message Timeout Failure Overview:- ISO Code U1309-08 Customer Symptom ABS Lamp ON,EBD Lamp ON Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Vehicle speed, odometer, fuel computer, OAT value, Service remainder cannot be displayed on IPC Lamp Status (If Any) ABS Lamp ON,EBD Lamp ON Fault Detection Condition 1. ABS connector is not connected properly or disconnected from its location 2. CAN Stub wire from ABS connector side is disconnected. 3. ABS ECU is not powered up. Normal Operating Condition ABS ECU communicates properly with TML diagnostic Tool. Probable Trouble Area Disconnection of the ABS connector Healing Condition To fix the ABS connector correctly and Fix the wiring harness issues from ABS side. Trouble Shooting:- Start Read IVN DTCs in IPC If MTO logged against ABS in current state? No (In history) Check continuity between ABS CAN_H (pin no.26 ) to IPC CAN_H(pin no.6 ) and ABS CAN_L (pin no.14 ) to IPC CAN_L(pin no. 5) in vehicle wiring side connector. Is continuity there? Repair the wiring harness Clear DTC Stop Check Ignition (pin no.28), Battery (pin no.1,25) and Ground (pin no.13,38 ) of ABS is properly connected or not. Also check fuse blown (Battery fuse 25A and ignition fuse 5A) Do necessary repair in the harness Yes Yes No U1309-08 Loss of communication with Anti-Lock Braking System/Electronic Stability program(ABS/ ESP)
