Author: ERC Page: 76 of 301 B1F28-15:- Blower Motor Diagnostic feedback - Circuit Short to battery or open; ISO Code B1F28 - 15 Customer Symptom No cooling Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Blower permanently off Lamp Status (If Any) AC will be switched Off Fault Detection Condition Blower Motor Diagnostic Feedback is short to battery or open Normal Operating Condition With the Blower control circuit connected to the harness and with Ignition ON, check the voltage between pin no 8 of blue connector & ground of the Connector. The voltage range should be in between 1.73 to 8.71 V. Probable Trouble Area Diagnostic feedback line is short circuited to battery or open Healing Condition NA Component Details: The blower is used for moving air from either an outside source--referred to as vented air--or from cabin air past the heater core or air conditioning evaporator. So diagnostic pin is used for checking the required voltage being given to blower is correct or not. Preliminary Checks: Switch On the IGN & perform the following check. 1) Connect the Diagnostics tool & check the DTC fault code 2) Read ECU parameter value Blower diagnostic feedback (Internal Value) for Blower speed with the diagnostic tool
