ETC that is replaced in place of a damaged one will be prior tested and in proper working condition. On connecting new ETC in vehicle, ETC should work without any issues once the calibration is done. 3.1. Replacement Process The ETC replacement process is done when ETC is damaged for various reasons. The ETC replacement process has two aspects as given below: 1. Mechanical 2. Electrical 3.1.1. Mechanical For mechanical replacement & assembly sequence, please refer “ETC Information Fitment Drawing”. 3.1.2. Electrical The electrical aspect of ETC replacement is to ensure that ECU is having the required SW. 1. Switch OFF the Ignition. 2. For Mechanical removal of the control panel, refer the “ETC Information Fitment Drawing”. 3. Remove both connectors (vehicle (HVAC +Vehicle ) side connector and fascia side Connector) from ECU. 4. Replace with new ECU. 5. Assemble the ECU as per the assembly sequence instruction. Refer “ETC Information Fitment Drawing”. 6. Connect both (vehicle ((HVAC +Vehicle) side Connector and fascia side connector) to the ECU. 7. Connect the Diagnostics tool to OBD connector. 8. IGN on condition and execute the “Actuator Motor Calibration Routine” Actuator Motor Calibration routine Step 1 - Start the Routine Start request: 31 01 3e 02
