Nexon MCE ESP DTC Troubleshooting data Document no: X01ME111219 Date: 11-Dec-19 U0428 - 41:- CRC error - Steering Angle Sensor Signal Overview: ISO Code U0428 - 41 Customer Symptom Warning Light Displayed Fault Effects (On Vehicle) ABS, HHC & EBD – Available, ESP & HDC – Not available Lamp Status (If Any) ABS – OFF, EBD – OFF, ESP – ON, HDC – ON, HHC-OFF Fault Detection Condition Incorrect data received from SAS Normal Operating Condition SAS sends correct data in normal condition. Probable Trouble Area SAS Healing Condition After rectifying all the functional failures in SAS Preliminary Check: 1. Check resistance in Diagnostic CAN pin no. 8 and 9. It should be 120 Ω. 2. Check for short conditions between CAN_H (pin no. 14)-CAN_L (pin no.2), CAN_H (pin no. 14)-GND (pin no. 13), CAN_L (pin no. 2)-GND (pin no. 13), CAN_H (pin no. 14)-Vbatt (pin no. 1) and CAN_L (pin no. 2)-GND (pin no.13). There should not be any short circuit conditions. 3. Read IVN DTCs in ABS/ESP in IGN ON condition Note: After rectification please give Ignition latch to heal the DTC.
