Pre-checks/tasks to be done before replacing the DHS/ TGS 1) Perform all the necessary checks as per the troubleshooting guide, at wire harness, switches, circuit short to ground, short to battery or open, etc. 2) If step-1 above is NOT OK, i.e. fault is not rectified, then follow the DHS/ TGS replacement procedure given below. 2.2. DHS/ TGS replacement procedure PREQUISITE: 1) New DHS/ TGS shall be available for replacement. PROCEDURE: 1) Disconnect the battery. 2) Locate the faulty DHS/ TGS. (Refer Figure-1 for location of the DHS and Figure-2 for TGS). 3) Unscrew the DHS/ TGS with dedicated screw panel. 4) Remove DHS/ TGS connector (Refer Figure-3 for DHS connector and Figure 4 for TGS connector). 5) Remove the faulty DHS/ TGS. 6) Fix the new DHS/ TGS. 7) Connect DHS/ TGS connector into their respective sockets. 8) Ensure that DHS/ TGS connector is fitted tightly and properly. 9) Connect the battery. 10) After replacing the DHS/ TGS, check vehicle locking/ unlocking state changes by pressing the replaced DHS/ TGS. NOTE: The vehicle UID shall be present during DHS/ TGS press. 11) Connect the Diagnostics tool and clear the DTCs.
