P1E0A-12: PWM Blower Output failure Short – Circuit to Battery Overview: ISO Code P1E0A-12 Customer Symptom AC Blower will not function Fault Effects (On Vehicle) AC Blower will not function Lamp Status (If Any) No Lamp Indication Fault Detection Condition This fault gets logged if the PWM Blower output Signal pin no.130 of EMS ECU is Short circuited to Battery. Normal Operating Condition Healthy Wiring Harness connections between EMS ECU and PWM Blower Output Probable Trouble Area Wiring Harness connections Healing Condition Ignition On and after 1 driving cycle fault is healed Fault permanent Deletion 1. Clear DTC Command form Scan tool 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4. ECU Flashing. 5. ECU Power-Fail Component Details: To avoid the variations in AC Blower motor with respect to battery voltage variations due to IAC (Intelligent Alternator Controller), PWM blower motor controller is used in “BSVI Vehicle with Blower Position Sensor Module applicable for HVAC (Manual AC) variants.’’ Preliminary Checks: 1. Check whether the EMS is receiving Battery supply and Ground 2. Check whether the Battery is healthy 3. Loose/ Damaged Connections between LPM Module and EMS ECU. 4. Check for back out of pins at ECU connector. 5. Check for damage of pins at ECU connector. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Check whether the EMS ECU is receiving supply and Ground Go to Step 2 Rectify wiring harness connections as per schematic 2. Is there wiring harness electrical continuity between ECU pin 216 to Blower position Resistor Control Module pin ‘H’. Go to Step 3 Establish continuity by rectifying harness connections as per the Circuit schematic
