P22E1-13: CNG Gas-Injector 3 - electrical fault, Open circuit Overview: ISO Code P22E1-13 Customer Symptom Fuel Mode switchover from CNG to gasoline Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Vehicle will not able to drive in CNG mode Lamp Status (If Any) MIL ON after 1 drive cycle Fault Detection Condition This fault gets logged if the ignition state is ON and CNG Injector 3 (Pin no.248) is Open Circuited in any fuel Mode Normal Operating Condition Proper Wiring Harness connections between Injector of cylinder 3 and EMS ECU. Probable Trouble Area Wiring Harness Connections Healing Condition Ignition ON and after 3 drive cycles in CNG Fuel Mode Fault present deletion 1. Clear DTC Command form Scan tool 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4.ECU flashing 5. ECU power fail Component Details: Fuel Injectors are the actuators which control the fuel to be injected. The amount of fuel delivered by the fuel injector is determined electronically in accordance with the air flow in such a way as to minimize pollutants in the exhaust gas. Preliminary Checks: 5) Loose/ Damaged Connections between injector and EMS ECU. 6) Check for back out of pins at both Injector connector and ECU connector. 7) Check for damage of pins at both injector connector and ECU connector. 8) Check the continuity from injector connector pins to the ECU pins.
