P1609-21: Non Plausible error for CNG LID Overview: ISO Code P1609-21 Customer Symptom CNG Switch LED & CNG Lamp will Blink in case of Ignition ON. Vehiclw will Not Start. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Vehicle will not crank Lamp Status (If Any) CE Lamp ON after 1 drive cycle Fault Detection Condition This fault occurs when CNG Fuel LID Open is detected in Vehicle Running Condition. This fault occurs when CNG Fuel LID Pin 117 SCG and Pin 146 is Open Load is detected in Vehicle Running Condition. Normal Operating Condition Healthy Wiring Harness connections between CNG LID and EMS ECU Probable Trouble Area Wiring Harness Connections, CNG LID, ECU Healing Condition After 1 drive cycles Fault Permanent deletion 1. Clear DTC Command form Scan tool 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4. ECU Flashing. 5. ECU Power-Fail Component Details: 1. This component gives fuel Lid/cap open-close based on two digital input switch. 2. It is used to indicate the user that Lid/cap is open. 3. This function is used for safety purpose to avoid any safety critical scenario during CNG Gas refulling. Preliminary Checks: 4. Loose/ Damaged Connections between Fuel LID switch and EMS ECU. 5. Check for back out of pins at both LID switch connector and ECU connector. 6. Check for damage of pins at both LID switch connector and ECU connector. 7. Check the continuity from LID switch connector pins to the ECU pins.
