P01A1-15: Electric max error for CNG tank pressure sensor - Tank pressure sensor short to Battery or Open circuit Overview: ISO Code P01A1-15 Customer Symptom CNG fuel gauge bar (1st bar and last bar) blinking Fault Effects (On Vehicle) CNG leak detection in the low pressure line is not activated. Lamp Status (If Any) MIL ON after 1 drive cycles Fault Detection Condition This fault occurs when tank pressure signal line Pin 109 short to Battery or open circuit Normal Operating Condition Vehicle running in CNG Mode with normal operation Probable Trouble Area Wiring Harness Connections, CNG Tank Pressure Sensor, ECU Healing Condition After 3 drive cycles in CNG Fuel Mode Fault Permanent deletion 1. Clear DTC Command form Scan tool 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4. ECU Flashing. 5. ECU Power-Fail Component Details: The high-pressure sensor measures the fuel pressure in the CNG fuel tank and high-pressure line. This information is required by the engine control unit for the exact metering of the injected fuel mass. Preliminary Checks: 1) Sensor signal pin might be shorted to battery/higher voltage. Sensor connector maybe disconnected 2) Wiring harness problem 3) Wrong sensor fitted. 4) Faulty CNG tank pressure sensor. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1. Check for damage of pins at both sensor connector and ECU connector Rectify/Replace Connectors Go to Step 2. 2. Sensor signal EMS ECU pin no.109 Short circuit to Battery Rectify connections as per the schematic Go to Step 3. 3. Check the continuity from sensor connector pins 2 to the ECU pins 109. Rectify connections as per the schematic Go to Step 4. 4. Fault Still Persists? Replace Sensor and then Fault still persists then Replace EMS ECU Follow the steps again for reconfirmation DTC’s confirmation:- Recheck the fault using TML Diagnostic tool, Fault shall not appear.
