U0198-81 : Plausibility checks for signals Com_stRemoteEngAcCmdSts Overview: ISO Code U0198-81 Customer Symptom RESS Feature not working. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. RESS Feature will be disabled Lamp Status (If Any) NO Lamp Fault Detection Condition The invalid DTC shall be logged when the signal becomes implausible. Normal Operating Condition ECU and TELEMATICS1 are communicating properly. Probable Trouble Area CAN messages from TELEMATICS1 should be checked as the status signal of the TELEMATICS1 is implausible. Healing Condition Com_stRemoteEngAcCmdSts signal should be with valid value Fault permanent deletion 1. Scan tool Service 14. 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4. ECU Flashing. 5. ECU power fail Component Details: NA Preliminary Checks: 1. Check ECM is communicating with TML diagnostic DTC or not. 2. If not, check for short conditions between CAN HIGH-CAN LOW, CAN HIGH-GND, CAN LOW-GND, CAN HIGH-Vbatt and CAN LOW -Vbatt at ECM vehicle side wiring harness. There should not be any short Circuit conditions. 3. There should be continuity between vehicle side wiring harness with following pins. TCM CAN HIGH to ECM CAN HIGH and TCM CAN LOW to ECM CAN LOW ECM CAN_H (Vehicle side connector) to TCM CAN_H ECM CAN_L (Vehicle side connector) to TCM CAN_L Continuity should be there. 4. Read IVN DTCs in ECM after IGN ON condition with TML diagnostic tool. 5. Check with the CAN channel, which will affect communication 6. Check for Loose/Damaged connections 7. Check for Pin back out from ECU connector
