P1E3B-00 : Engine Shutoff due to DMF resonance condition Overview: ISO Code P1E3B-00 Customer Symptom Vehicle shutoff Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Vibrations in the vehicle will be felt during the start and component damage. Lamp Status (If Any) NO Lamp Fault Detection Condition Engine RPM stuck in resonance zone Normal Operating Condition Engine RPM should be greater than resonance RPM Probable Trouble Area Engine RPM Resonance zone Healing Condition Engine speed is 0 Fault permanent deletion 1. Scan tool Service 14. 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4. ECU Flashing. 5. ECU power fail Component Details: NA Preliminary Checks: 1. Check Dual Mass Flywheel. 2. Check for Loose Battery terminals 3. Check for Loose/Damaged IBS Connector. 4. Keep Brake pressed fully and until engine has started completely 5. Check the Battery Voltage and Battery SOC via Midtronics tools. Trouble Shooting:- Step Checks IF YES IF NO 1 Is Battery SOC & Health OK Replace with New Battery, ensure good SOC Go to Step 2 2 Is Brake Switch Faulty Replace Brake Switch Go to Step 3 3 Is brake being released early while cranking engine Keep brake pressed until engine started completely Go to Step 4 4 Is engine speed sensor faulty Replace engine speed sensor Go to Step 3 5 Is fuel supply not available properly with pressure Rectify Go to Step 4 6 Is Misfire issue present on the engine Rectify Misfire Go to Step 5
