P0633-04: Immobilizer Key Not Programmed – ECM/PCM– System Internal Failures Overview: ISO Code P0633-04 Customer Symptom Vehicle will not start, starter will not engage. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Vehicle will not start, starter will not engage. Lamp Status (If Any) Nil Fault Detection Condition Fault gets logged if the AES key is not written into EMS ecu. Incase EMS ecu is replaced & no pairing operation is carried out, then this DTC will log in. Normal Operating Condition Same AES key & VIN will be written into both EMS and Immo. Probable Trouble Area EMS ecu Healing Condition After 1 drive cycle of fault rectification Fault is healed Fault Permanent deletion Stack Over flow After 40 drive cycles of fault rectification. Diagnostic command to clear DTC’s Component Details: Immobilizer system is designed to prevent vehicle theft by electronically disabling the engine starting system. The engine can be started only with vehicle’s original immobilizer ignition key, which has an electronic identification programmed code. Immobilizer unit (VICM) is an add-on part on the ignition switch, fitted on the steering column. The engine can be started only with the vehicle’s original immobilizer ignition key. The electronic key communicates the identification code to immobilizer (VICM) when the key is turned to the "Ignition ON" position.
