The IVBAC must not be held at: The input rod or by the rubber boot • Vehicle interface studs or by interface plate only • ECU connector • Brake fluid reservoir or brake fluid • indicator/connector For a better visualization the hands of the mechanic are represented without gloves in the following pictures. TATA recommends carrying of gloves to avoid violations and contamination during assembly/disassembly of the IVBAC. For manual handling of the actuation assembly the following is recommended: 1. Prior to mounting on the vehicle: Hold the actuation assembly preferably with both hands: at the motor and at the housing, but without applying any force to the PFS or the cover plate of the ECU. 2. Unpacking and in case of packing: Hold the actuation assembly preferably with both hands, but without using the connector as gripping surface. Contact points at the IPB-Housing. No load • transmit to the ECU cover plate allowed. Contact points at the IPB-Housing, IPB must • not be handled at the interface plate only, 2nd hand recommended for stability.
