TPMS SENSOR REPLACEMENT IV. PROCEDURE USING LF TOOL After performing all the necessary checks as per the troubleshooting guide, at wire harness etc., and if no root cause is found and TPMS sensor need to be replaced, then follow the below procedure. A. Prerequisite for TPMS Sensor replacement: 1. TPMS Sensor to be replaced shall be available. 2. Check and verify part number of the TPMS Sensor. It shall be 550254709902. B. Procedure for TPMS Sensor replacement: 1. Disconnect the battery. 1. Locate the TPMS Sensor on tire. 2. Remove the TPMS Sensor. 3. Fix the new TPMS Sensor. 4. Fit the TPMS Sensor on rim of wheel properly. 5. Ensure that all TPMS Sensors of respective tires are fitted tightly and properly. 6. Connect the battery. 7. Note down the each TPMS sensor ID using LF tool. 8. Write the respective tire sensor ID using supplier or diagnostic tool. 9. Check the customer reported fault, whether it is rectified. F. TIRE REPLACEMENT During all the operations on the tire, the sensor must be correctly maintained and thus it is forbidden to unscrew the nut and to force the sensor into the wheel.
