Trouble Shooting:
Step Checks
IF YES
IF NO
1.
Check whether the EMS ECU is getting power supply and
GND
Go to step 2
Rectify wiring
Harness as per the
schematic if found
faulty
2. Check whether the Main relay is faulty or not also check
IMV connector is properly connected to the IMV or not
Rectify/Replace if
found main relay is
faulty
Go to step 3

Check if there is any mud, dirt, foreign particle
accumulation on the connector
Remove dirt and
foreign particle
accumulated on the
connector
Go to step 4

Are there any pins damaged at EMS ECU Connector? Also
check electrical continuity of wiring harness between ECU
and IMV as per circuit schematics.
Replace/repair the
connector or wiring
harness
Go to step 5
5
Check wiring harness resistance. Also check IMV internal
resistance, it should not exceed 5.3 ohm.
Rectify/Replace if
found wiring harness
is faulty.
Go to step 6

Are there any pins backed out from the EMS ECU
Connector
Rectify/Replace
Connectors
Go to Step 7

Fault Still Persists?
Replace IMV and if
Fault still persists
then Call Hot Line
Follow the steps
again for
reconfirmation
DTC’s confirmation (checks before handing over vehicle to customer):
x
After rectification perform actuator test for IMV and ensure the result is positive with status as no faults.
x
Check the errors at Ignition ON, engine running @ Idle & Fly up with different vehicle speeds and confirm
that there are no errors logged by EMS before handing over vehicle to customer.
