Annex_2: Steering Column replacement procedure
1.
Remove the dashboard.
2.
Access the PSCM Column and ECU under the dashboard.
3.
Remove all the 4 connectors from ECU.
4.
Remove the steering column from CCB.
5.
Fix the new Steering column on CCB.
6.
Connect all 4 connectors to the ECU.
7.
Connect the Diagnostics tool to OBD connector.
8.
Switch
ON
the
Ignition Key without cranking the engine.
9.
Enter in Safety Diagnostic Session and Unlock the ECU.
10.
Start
Steering Wheel Angle Calibration
routine.
11.
Steer
the
steering wheel +/- 25° around the
center position
at
wheel speed rate < 200°/s.
Note:
‘+’ Means steer the steering wheel in left direction.
‘-‘ Means steer the steering wheel in right direction.
12.
Turn the steering wheel back to centre position or front wheels back to the straight position.
13.
Stop
the Steering Wheel Angle Calibration
routine.
14.
Switch Off the ignition and switch it On.
15.
Steer
the
steering wheel lock to lock
(Steering Angle initialization process)
16.
Process completed, switch off the ignition and disconnect the OBD cable.
