Component Details
Wheel Speed Sensor - A wheel speed sensor is part of the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS). It is located on the
tires. The job of the wheel speed sensor is to constantly monitor and report the rotational speed of each tire to
the ABS control module.
Preliminary Checks
x
Check for loose contact/intermittent short in the WSS line and remove it. (Pin no. 8, 4, 18 and 29 w.r.t to
GND (pin no.13) and battery (pin no.1)
x
Check WSS is installed and WSS is not dislodged from bracket / WSS is securely fastened.
x
Check air gap. It should not be too much.
x
Check for worn or missing teeth.
