Trouble Shooting
RESET THE SWITCHING THRESHOLD
OF THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH
1. CLEAR THE DTC FROM THE MEMORY.
2. PERFORM IGNITION OFF/ON.
3. APPLY/RELEASE BRAKE TO GET FAULT
FREE SYSTEM
YES
START
IS DTC
PRESENT?
STOP
NO
1. CONNECT THE TML DIAGNOSTIC TOOL.
2. TURN THE IGNITION ON.
3. CHECK THE STATUS OF DTC’s (MENORIZED/CURRENT)
4. RECORD THE DTC AND CLEAR.
5. TURN IGNITION OFF & ON.
6. VERIFY IF DTC C0040-64 IS PRESENT
CHECK THE DTC
YES
IS DTC
PRESENT?
STOP
NO
REPLACE THE ECU
