P0641-1C: Output Voltage of the Sensor 1 Supply is Out of Specified Range – Circuit Voltage out of

Range

Overview:

ISO Code

P0641-1C

Customer Symptom

Fuel Consumption Increases

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

No Altitude Adaptation, Fuel Consumption Increases,

Damage to Sensor / EMS ECU

Lamp Status (If Any)

CE lamp ON after 1 drive cycle

Fault Detection Condition

This fault gets logged if the Sensor Reference Supply “1” pin

of EMS ECU are short circuited to Ground or Battery or open

circuited.

Normal Operating Condition

Healthy Supply Voltage to Sensors from EMS ECU.

Probable Trouble Area

Wiring Harness Connections, EMS ECU

Healing Condition

Ignition ON and after 1 driving cycles of fault rectification

Fault permanent deletion

1. Clear DTC Command form Scan tool

2. Stack Over Flow.

3. 40 warm up cycles.

4. ECU Flashing.

5. ECU Power-Fail

Component Details:

EMS ECU has two Internal 5 Volts power supplies. Power Supply 1 will provide input voltage to a group of sensors - A

(Accelerator pedal sensor 1, AC Refrigerant pressure Sensor, TMAP Sensor) and Power Supply 2 will give input

voltage to another group of Sensors (Boost Pressure Sensor, Throttle Position Sensor, Accelerator pedal sensor 2)

Preliminary Checks:

1) Loose/ Damaged Connections between any sensor of Sensor Group B (Acc. Pedal sensor 2 / Throttle

Position Sensor / Boost Pressure Sensor) and EMS ECU.

2) Check for back out of pins at any sensor connector Sensor Group B (Acc. Pedal sensor 2 / Throttle Position

Sensor / Boost Pressure Sensor) and ECU connector.

3) Check for damage of pins at any sensor connector of Sensor Group B (Acc. Pedal sensor 2 / Throttle Position

Sensor / Boost Pressure Sensor) and ECU connector.

4) Check the continuity from all sensors of Sensor Group B (Acc. Pedal sensor 2 / Throttle Position Sensor /

Boost Pressure Sensor) connector pins totheir respective EMS ECU pins.
