P30AF - 15: Cruise Switch sensor input to VECU - circuit short to battery or open Overview: ISO Code P30AF - 15 Customer Symptom Vehicle is operable, but cruise is not functional Fault Effects (On Vehicle) Vehicle remains in the current state of operation i.e., if cruise is not ON, cruise feature cannot be activated, OR if cruise is active, it will continue to remain in current state and it comes out of cruise function by pressing brake and the cruise will not get activated after that instant. Lamp Status (If Any) Service lamp blinking Fault Detection Condition Short to battery or open condition is detected by the VECU when cruise switch input is greater than upper threshold value Normal Operating Condition Cruise switch input to VECU is within operating range and cruise functionality will work as desired Probable Trouble Area Cruise switch Cruise switch LV wiring Harness Powertrain VCU connector Healing Condition If DTC trigger condition is healed, DTC is present only in memory Component Details: Cruise switch is used for activating, resuming and cancelling the cruise functionality.
