Powertrain VCU Replacement Procedure b. If upgrade required or mismatch with part numbers, then flash the Powertrain VCU with latest software. Afterwards follow the above step again. 16. Turn the IGN ON again and unlock Powertrain VCU for writing configuration parameters with the help of diagnostic tool. a. Request Security Access Seed (Send service request $27 03) b. Process the got 4-byte (XXXX) seed to produce 4-byte security key. c. Send the security key to unlock the ECU. (Send service request $27 04 YYYY) 17. Update Powertrain VCU VIN with following procedure a. Read VIN from Powertrain VCU (22 F1 90) b. Write correct VIN in Powertrain VCU (2E F1 90 XX XX ......... ). Wait for 1 sec. c. Read VIN from Powertrain VCU (22 F1 90) and verify. 18. Write AES key in Powertrain VCU. If it is locked, then unlocking of AES_SK is required before writing, else start writing AES_SK key immediately by sending service request through tool. 19. Write AES key in Immo. (Immo is currently disabled in VCU) 20. Lock the AES_SK code. 21. Provide power latch- Ignition OFF-ON transition. 22. Read and compare VIN for Powertrain VCU. 23. Read the DTCs and clear all the DTCs from Powertrain VCU with the help of diagnostic tool. 24. Provide IGN off-on cycle. 25. Read the DTCs from Powertrain VCU with the help of diagnostic tool.
