P1C07-2A: Neutral gear sensor signal error-Stuck In Range Overview: ISO Code P1C07 – 2A Customer Symptom 1. ESS Autostop/ Autostart Function will not work. 2. IAC Control will not work in Intermittent Mode. Fault Effects (On Vehicle) 1. ESS Autostop/ Autostart Function will not work. 2. IAC Control will not work in Intermittent Mode. Lamp Status (If Any) Nil Fault Detection Condition Consider a senario driver is driving vehicle with clutch pressed for longer time than Neutral gear sensor signal Stuck in Range the error will appear. Normal Operating Condition Neutral Gear Sensor detect the Neutral Gear position Probable Trouble Area Neutral Gear Sensor, Wiring Harness Healing Condition After 1 Drive cycles and ignition ON fault is healed Fault permanent deletion 1. Scan tool Service 14 2. Stack Over Flow. 3. 40 warm up cycles. 4. ECU flashing 5. ECU power fail Note: There is no linkage of Neutral gear sensor on Current Gear Display function. So, do not replace Neutral gear sensor in case of “N” display. Component Details: This is mainly required for Engine start Stop functionality in Manual Transmission. Sensor is used to detect Neutral position and non-neutral position. Preliminary Checks: 1) Loose/ Damaged Connections or Intermittent fault. 2) Sensor supply line Short circuit to Battery. 3) Sensor Signal line Short circuit to Battery/ Sensor Supply/ Ground. 4) Check the continuity from sensor connector pins to the ECU pins. 5)Check for back out of pins at both Sensor connector and ECU connector. 6) Check for damage of pins at both sensor connector and ECU connector. 7) Faulty Engine Neutral Position Sensor. 8) Faulty ECU
