Replace the sensor, if damaged - Step 6 Check the Air gap is between 0.5 to 1.5 mm - Step 7 Physically check the flywheel teeth for any foreign particle deposits or teeth damage. - Step 8 If there is no issue with any of the above-mentioned check points. Replace the sensor and check - Associated Parameters: Parameter Label Description DID Monitoring Crank synchronisation enabled Label displaying the synchronization of CAM and Crank FE5D True if the crank and cam synchronisation is done Verification condition: Drive the vehicle in city and highway condition. Down shift from 4th gear 2000 rpm to 2nd gear rapidly several times. Component Description: Crankshaft position sensor is an electromagnetic sensor by the help of which the fuel injection system makes synchronization of the fuel injectors operation and the ignition system. The sensor sends signal for the speed and the position of the crankshaft to the onboard controller. This signal is a series of repetitive electrical voltage impulses, generated by the sensor when the crankshaft is rotating. Based on these impulses, the onboard controller controls the fuel injectors and the ignition system. Circuit Schematic Diagram: Component location and image:
