Battery voltage dropped less than 6V 2. Battery discharged fully 3. Battery terminals are damaged 4. Wiring harness discontinuity (Alternator to battery wiring) 5. Loose connection of Battery terminals 6. Alternator failure 1.CE Lamp ON 2. Reduced vehicle performance Lamp status: Check Engine Lamp on Malfunction Indicator Lamp off Checkpoints: 1. Check Battery Voltage at key on (min 11.5 V) 2. Check the battery condition (Terminal damage/wear, Acid leak, low Specific gravity, low acid level) Trouble Shooting Steps: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check the Battery voltage with the ignition switch on. If the voltage is too low then recharge the battery to 12 V Nominal range -11.5 ~ 12.8V Step 2 Check whether the battery terminals are connected properly and they are tight. If not proper or found any damage, do the necessary repair - Step 3 Check ECU connection: 1] Key off 2] Remove the ECU 3] Connect ECU connector Properly 4] Key on and Read the faults - Step 4 Check the charging circuit – Alternator to battery connection & engine body ground. In case of any problems in charging circuit, do the necessary repair -
