Coolant sensor reading incorrect values 2. Aging of the coolant sensor 3. Thermostat stuck open 4. Coolant temp. sensor connector loose connection 5. Electrical wiring damage 6. ECU terminal loose connection 7. Coolant Sensor malfunctioning 1. MIL Lamp On 2. Reduced vehicle performance 3. Cylinder balancing disabled 4. AC may get disabled 5. FAN may continuously run Lamp status: Check Engine Lamp off Malfunction Indicator Lamp on Checkpoints: Check Battery Voltage at Ignition off (Nominal Range 11.5V~12.8V) Trouble Shooting Steps: Sr. No. Steps Specifications Step 1 Check Coolant sensor connector is connected properly. Remove the connector and connect again properly. Check if any dummy sensor is fitted externally. Remove if any dummy sensor is used. - Step 2 Check for continuity between coolant sensor connector pins 1, 2, and ECU pins A35, A4 respectively. - Step 3 Check the ECU connector is connected properly - Step 4 Check for any damage or bend in ECU terminal pin - Step 5 Check the coolant sensor physically for any damage or abnormality. - Step 6 Check thermostat working correctly or stuck open -
